As part of investor education, I have been involved in teaching my clients worldwide about the basic fundamental and technical aspects of equity investing. But, I have also trained under-study candidates at the multinational firms where I have worked for 30 years overseas. And, there are all age groups, especially the younger generation, who are eager to learn and earn. Most of my under-studies have secured senior positions internationally. Since I have returned to India in early 2009, I have lost touch with them. I love teaching about stock market as it is a wealth creation platform, not a virtual casino built for speculation. Most of my teaching methods are old-style and hence more reliable with my practical knowledge and experience almost 38 years in total. Some slides and power point can be used as illustration though.

I started English tuition as a hobby and earned extra income many years ago. I have had all kinds of students coming from different life styles and age groups. The reason why all my students enjoy my classes is because I teach in a very relaxed and friendly manner. Besides teaching the language, I also groom my students in their interaction with people. This is possible due to my stay overseas for 30 years. There have been instances of young students wanting to learn spoken English for better job prospects, matured businessmen/women looking to have better communication skills, young or middle aged housewives trying to keep up with their husband's English Language or interacting with kids' school etc.

1. There are no short cuts, and hence minimal chances of winning short term bets. So, try the medium term.
2. Go for quality names that have clarity on earnings growth.
3. Avoid timing of the market.
4. Try to diversify your portfolio.
5. Don't panic during short term volatility as quality will provide you with the buffer.
