I have provided free career and life coaching to many students, using my practical experiences to guide them. This has significantly impacted their long-term decisions and positively influenced their lives. One instance stands out when a fresh graduate with a commerce background joined our sales team. On his second day, he seemed confused and overwhelmed. I reached out to him and encouraged him to share his thoughts. He admitted to comparing himself with friends who had secured high-paying jobs at major MNCs. I reassured him that in 3-5 years, those initial higher packages would become irrelevant. Many of his friends might find themselves stuck in routine 9-to-5 jobs with minimal increments, just enough to keep pace with inflation, but without a clear sense of purpose or fulfillment. I advised him to focus on discovering his life's purpose and what he truly wanted to achieve. We discussed the importance of identifying the necessary skills to reach his goals and where he could acquire those skills. This introspective approach, I suggested, would be crucial in deciding where to do his internship and how to shape his career path.
