An alum of St. Xavier's College (Fort, Mumbai), I hold a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature, a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages accreditation from ACT and TESOL-Canada coupled with more than 10 years of training experience in the BPO industry. I have appeared for IELTS General and Academic having scored 8.5 in ILETS General and 8.0 in IELTS Academic. I have been training students in IELTS for over a year with good success. My pedagogy is focused on practical teaching methods which help the students score high on the tests. The training includes a short grammar course designed to ensure that students improve their English language course followed by an intensive understanding of the IELTS Test structure and practice sessions to help maximise scores. I also focus on improving the students’ vocabulary which is a key component in ensuring that they score well. As I want to focus on individual attention, my class size does not exceed a maximum of 3.The course design is also flexible enough to ensure that we focus on the students’ areas of improvement and build up on their strengths.

The key to learning any language is to knowledge, practice and thinking in that language.
Firstly, start reading in and listening to English. Practice daily with friends, family members, colleagues or anyone who speaks English well. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and even if you do, ask others to correct you.
Additionally, start thinking in English. Right now, you might be thinking in Telugu and trying to translate it into English; once you start thinking in English, you will automatically begin to speaking fluently.
Lastly, don’t lose hope or give up.
