Create a conducive environment for them that includes subtle changes in the daily routine. Remember don't force them into learning the language, instead, start with some personal changes and they should be enticed to the same things and then they will start loving. the key thing here is - Keep it Natural !!!

Good question Venkat. So it's a bit to do with biology and some different genes that some people catch the local language or accent of a particular place even in days of staying there, maybe as a tourist. But this is true only till the medium/intermediate level. if someone has to master the language and be a near-native speaker that takes proper training and regular efforts which is almost the same for everyone. Keep trying buddy!

Hi Sarita, One of the most important things that you can do is to create an environment around you that is rich in English. Now, as you cannot change the people near you, use good daily routines like reading articles, watching English series and more importantly try to learn the Art of Self-talk in English. I'm sure consistent efforts in this way will give you some good results over a period of time. Be Patient, don't expect a miracle in a short time! 

Being from a particular region from India makes English the second language for you, where the primary concern can be MTI - Mother Tongue Influence. It can affect or impede your communication with the native speakers while interacting as they have a different pronunciation. The best solution is to create an English environment around you. How?

• Reading newspapers/articles/google news and marking the commonly used phrases and vocabulary
• Listening to TED talks/ Youtube videos on different topics in different accents - US/UK/Global accent
• Reading Aloud and recording yourself to be as close to the native speakers with persistent practice and hardwork
