There are schools that teach Indian classical dance forms like kathak, bharatnatyam, etc.
I have learnt & practised Kathak myself for 3 yrs in a dance school .

Definitely Bharatnatyam and kathak are more famous because of the experiments done in full range, be it clothes, music, environment. But it’s superficial. You never choose dance but dance chooses you . I mean to say watch some video of both of them and then decide to which you can do more justice to. Because anyways when you dance your inherent style comes into play which actually makes you dance.
Personally as a kathak dancer I can say kathak is a beautiful dance form and it’s very much music oriented and composed. But I have seen some oddisi performance and they require grace and energy . I Wish to learn it someday too.
And when the career regards , there is always a career when you are perfect, not best. The time you will rejoice your dance people will start admiring you.
All the Best!

Difficulty in any dance form is simply based on how much you enjoy it and practice it.
Personally, I feel that the Indian or the classical dance is more technical and needs proper training. On the other hand, the western dance is more about style and presentation.
Yet,both styles are totally different from one another.
You can learn any kind of dance you want to.You just have to be regular at it and need to practice smartly and productively.
But the most important thing, whatever you do,do it from your heart.Feel the steps and enjoy it to the fullest. :)

Yes! Dancers are incredibly fit. Besides all of that if you are having fun you are much more likely to be consistent, which is the only secret that no one likes to talk about. It is the most important factor in what makes any workout effective.
