"I improved so much after playing guitar with Shovik sir. Before i couldnt even play lead parts slowly but now i can play it in a pretty fast tempo. The exercises sir gives improves the control, speed and finger placement if you practice enough. I never could play barre chords but now i can play a few of them. About Shovik sir, he is just epic with those shredding lead parts and chord progessions. None of my past teachers could play like this sir and they were very still famous. In other words , i just improved a lot in this short period of time with Shovik sir. "

"Have a good number of years of experience so he know where his student might be struggling in learning new things. Clear all doubts with personal guidance. Give thorough knowledge of music theory before making you learn songs on guitar. So someday if you apply those music theory properly you can create your own songs and even by just listeniy to music you would be able to play it yourself. "

"Extremely knowledgeable into any genre of music be it Jazz, Blues, Indian Classic. An artist who produces music is the best guide to guide from the musicality perspective and to inspire you to follow a similar approach. I started taking classes from him from last 1 year and I think I have progressed a lot in terms of my music theory and application of music theory be it using Arpeggios, Scales, ear training, fretboard visualisation etc. He understood my requirements as I had self learned guitar for 3 years and wanted to well round my knowledge and open my perspective about music. He gave specific exercises on the fretboard with guitar pro files which really helped me in flexibility and my picking technique and every discussion fueled some ideas which I also went and learned more about it. Well its also a fact that no tutor can do the magic and you also have to practice a lot and explore music by combining songs and different exercises in routine which is the methodology used by Souvik Sir as well. Besides all if this he is a great Singer and I was really surprised by his singing skills and that is very inspiring for me as singing really helps to translate it to the instrument. I am still loving the discussions with him and it really helps when you don't have a musical group around you to talk to someone who opens up your mind. "

"I consider myself to be what you'd call a 'hardcase newbie'. Prior to joining Mr. Gupta's classes, I had tried a lot of sessions where and there to get the ball rolling. I'd diligently work on whatever I'd come across. But unfortunately, I'd get nowhere. And then I came across him in December of 2019, and that is when my journey in guitar truly began in true sense. When you come to Shovik sir's classes, you don't just learn the instrument. He teaches you more. Essentially, he makes you sink into the art of philosophy of music. He doesn't want none of his students to just be okay with playing the instrument. No, he wants you to ingrain every little detail in your bones. There is a lot that I could say but unless you decide to come to try out the classes first handedly, you'd only be listening to somebody else's experience. And that could only tell so much about all that you could potentially unravel in your journey over here. Joining his classes has made me a better human being in the process. The instrument has helped me deal with my mental health issues. The environment over here pushes you to be a better version of yourself. But like I said, you'd not know untill you try. So try. "The one i learn guitar from really teaches very well and he also improvises each student individually. Gives strong emphasis on basic theory and makes us practice. Then comes to process and introduction. The thing i like most is his emphasization on basics. Because the more i understand the basics the better i can practice. He is also very motivational and ideal as a teacher. He teaches how to be professional and make new improvisation on our owns. He teaches different kind of playing than the way all play. "Shovik is a very passionate teacher. When I got his contact from UrbanPro I was very hesitant to join as I did not know anything about him. All doubts disappeared when I met him and finally joined his classes early this year. His concept & understanding of music is clear, he has a vast knowledge of different genres of music including Rock, Jazz and is always eager to share the same with his students.
