"Shovik has been a wonderful guitar tutor. He explains everything from basics and then pushes towards improvisation. I would like to highly recommend him if anyone wants to seriously learn about guitar and music theory.200% satisfied and I wish every teacher should take responsibility as Shovik takes of his students. Thanks. "

"Sovik Sir is one of the best guitar teacher I have ever seen. He usually explains the complicated music theory in a very simple manner. He had worked on my basics and improved it rather than teaching me a couple of songs. That actually helps you to develop yourself as a better musician in long run. "

"Shovik has lot of knowledge about guitar playing and his approach is very professional. He has classes planned and makes sure the student learns even if he has put an extra effort and time. I would love to learn more from him as he is one of the rare dedicated teachers you will find. "

"One word amazing. I think I was lil skeptical to start of with online class but 15 mins into class 1 and I was sure I have found my teacher who will take my learning to the next level. Shovik has explained the theory so well that it is easy and fun. I am not learning just the guitar I am actually learning music composition. I am gonna be learning from Shovik for next few years that's for sure. Patience, smile and persistence are 3 things I get in every class apart from knowledge from him. I Will highly recommend Shovik to anyone who's looking to learn music. "

"I've started getting classes from him for about a month or two but after seeing his guitar playing and what he teaches my mind was blown away I just can't believe that what I've seen on my mobile for years it's happening infront of my eyes, he's the best person I've ever met , sir is my only inspiration and I want to become just like him. "

"Shovik is not only a close friend but also my Guitar Guru. Whatever music I can play through my guitar now is all for this man. He is an excellent teacher and the way he teaches is the best because he starts with improving music theory and grammar. At the same time he demonstrates playing techniques and exercises. Its been a pleasure getting taught guitar by him and under his supervision. Thanks to my friend and my music guru. "

"I know sir from last 4 years and from then I m taking classes from him.I don't want to compare Shovik sir with any other guitar teachers as I have not taken class from others.I believe from my heart that he is not only a good guitarist but also an excellent musician and we all students got to know by his teaching lessons and I can't think of any other guitar teachers until Shovik sir is by my side. "

"To be very honest I never planned to take classes for guitar. I thought I could make it by my own. But also, after coming here I realised I am far away from what I dream to be. Never seen someone doing that kinda finger trembling over fretboard unless I open YouTube. I just found an inspiration whom I can talk to other than Steve Vai. Admire the way he plays and teaches things in simplest and innovative way. I regret that I couldn't get to know him a little before. "

"Shovik sir , the best guitar teacher I've ever met. The way he explains everything , the scales, notes , voicings and the way he interprets the theory into the guitar helps us to feel the instrument. He doesn't focus on mechanical playing or just picking up songs for glory but aims us to be efficient enough to improvise on our own and arrange any song in our own manner. Also ,time has never been an issue at his place since he never gets bored and always keep the flow moving. A class at sir's place lasts for 2.5 to 3 hrs which is ample for proper communication between us and sir. He's patient and motivates us at every move. Also, he's a master at his instrument and leaves us amazed every time he plays it. At the end , I would say that he's like a friend as well as a teacher and I've found the right place where I can learn music in the right manner. "

Spend a few years on acoustic guitar first to get a grasp of the fretboard and all the scale shapes ,arpeggios ,triads, chord inversions and build finger strength and control as much as possible..then move on to an electric where you'll need to control the sounds by getting to know about the technical aspects like gain, noise gates, amps and cabinets, effects like distortion ,reverb ,chorus,etc..its a whole different world when it comes to play the electric guitar

A tutor sets up a curriculum..a path way towards step by step progress..gives the student practice materials as per the level of the student..without tutor the student can never decide to choose the best material out of the immense plethora of info available in the internet..and becomes spolt for choice..so if you are not an advanced player, go and train under a good tutor

5 years can be the age to start if the child is motivated properly both by the parents and the teacher..The child needs to develop a sense of passion for music and for that, a regular listening habit, to quality music, has to be developed..parents should give the child such a milieu to grow up, listening to good informative music everyday..
