IdentityMr. Saurav Sen is highly experienced and skilled in teaching Violin in Western/Indian style of Violin playing.
Ex-member of faculties of the preparatory programme at KM Music Conservatory, Chennai established by music director A R Rahman.
Ex-music teacher at St. Augustine's Day School, Kolkata.
Mr. Sen is also an expert in playing Indian Bamboo Flute ('Bansuri').
Classes and Lessons:
Mr. Sen in not attached to any music school. He provides private lessons in group or one-to-one. He also provides online lessons.
General schedule is 4 classes/month of a duration of 1 hr. and 30 mins each. Fast track crash courses are also available on request.
Western Style:
Suzuki school of violin techniques.
Sight reading.
Ear training.
Rhythm dictation.
Music theory.
Indian Style:
Indian notation system.
practicing 'Paltaas' based on Ragas.
Basic 'Gats' and improvisation techniques.
Contemporary Music:
Pop numbers, Film songs, Ghazals etc.
Rabindra Sangeet:
Using Staff /Indian notation.
Fee Structure (For a cycle of 4 classes):
At teacher's place:
Individual lessons: Rs.1500
Group of 2 students: Rs.1000
Group of 3 students: Rs.800
Group of 4 students: Rs.600
At student's place:
Rs.2500-Rs.3500 depending on distance and convenience.
