Pronunciation of 'R' in English is a bit complicated one. It's pronounced as 'AAARR'. But, its pronunciation changes with regard to where the letter is placed in a word.
If the letter 'R' is placed at the start, it is pronounced as 'RR'—E.g. Rain, Road etc.
Suppose the letter 'R' is placed in the middle of the word, its pronounced 'AR'. E.g. LeaRn, TuRn etc.
If the letter is placed at the end, it's pronounced as 'AA', e.g. Car, scar, water.
I hope it answers the query.
Thanks!

There is nothing such as pass or fail in IELTS. It is a test which tests one's proficiency level in English, and the band scores reflect the operational command one has in using English as a medium of communication.
Generally, for IELTS (Academic), colleges ask for an overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum 6 band score for each skill. Whereas, for IELTS (GT), the required scores maybe 8 in Listening and 7 each for Reading, Writing and Speaking. But, of course, these requirement changes with the jobs.
