Fluorine is the most electronegative group in the periodic table which makes it strongest elemental oxidizing group.
It certainly has great ability to stabilise higher oxidation state.
Silver is just down the copper in periodic table hence it can form +2 oxidation state compounds like copper.
In AgF2 the cation is large and anion is small so proper overlap is not there on the bond.
This bond is weak and can be really stable at lower temperatures but under normal temperatures it's not so stable.
Silver is more stable in +1 oxidation state and it wants to revert to there.
This tendency makes it a strong oxidizing group in AgF2.

Standard electrode potential of Iron Fe is negative while copper has it positive.
Oxidation reduction couple is based on relative magnitude of standard electrode potential.
If standard electrode potential is lesser then it implies that element has tendency to oxidize itself and reduce the other whose standard electrode potential is higher.
Hence if you store CuSO4 in Iron then Fe will get oxidized and Cu will get reduced.
