If I understand correctly, there are 2 parts to the question. How do I find an IT professor to talk to (outside India) and the second, how do I approach him or her? I am not sure if it is the matter of mode of communication. Here's my suggestion.
1. Identify your need. Why do you want to get in touch? For project guidance or university selection or sponsorship? Write down your need clearly and concisely.
2. Search online for the universities, who may have such professors. Visit the faculty section of their websites and find relevant names. Then send a specific message to that college or university with the name of professor in Subject Line. Request for the contact details of that professor.
Alternatively, you can also check social media (Linkedin) for such professors and drop them a direct message with your need and request to connect.
3. Another idea is to join relevant LinkedIn groups and other forums and post your requirements. If your query is unique and interesting, you may get lucky.
4. Ask for referrals. You may not know a professor outside India, but someone in your network may know.
Once you have the contact, you can use any medium to get in touch, such as Skype, WhatsApp call or GPhone.
Hope it helps!
