Keep the price till Rs. 5- Rs. 8 K. Learn on basic keyboard then shift to expensive one. But if you are sure you want to play for long term then buy something near Rs. 11 K. I think Yamaha series has Rs. 11 K piano.

For beginners Casio ctk 3200 or Yamaha e 343 are good to start with. If your budget is up to Rs. 20000 then Casio ctk Rs. 7300 INR has lot of features and for the realistic tones I will prefer you to purchase Yamaha psr 455.

First of all you please let me know that what is your budget, this query also concerns the currently going on trouble (Bank Queue, ATM etc.) LOL, ok now serious, if i say what I did in 2007, i bought a second hand Yamaha psr series keyboard because if you buy a new one that would be quite Expensive, hence you should try to get best in less price; Moreover if you want to purchase a new one as a beginner then Casio CTK Rs. 4000, Rs. 4200, Rs.6300 or in Yamaha you can go for PSR E series keyboards. I do not think Roland or Korg would be preferable because they mostly are for Professionals. read less
