Weighted keys, and touch sensitivity, polyphonic keyboard. 88 keys would be best. With pedal.

Is it easy to learn western music? Are blues and Jazz part of western classical music?

First, if you are a musician and you call a type of music Western Classical, you don't know what you are talking about. First, if you are a musician and you call a type of music Western Classical, you don't know what you are talking about. The word "classical", so often used, is a mistake, as there is really NO style that can describe that type of music. Please educate the people by making them understand that there are actually two types of music genres, one is more directed at being an art form, and the other one is for leisure, though often these tow can mix. The word classical, now is being replaced I fact in many higher education institutions for ART Music, and that makes more sense. Only for marketing purposes it still continues being in use, but that is a problem for a lot of new music coming up that fits no such categories. One can consider jazz as a classical form too, as it has a very elaborate style reflecting an art form. The other types of western styles, are more directed towards pleasing and leisure, even though they too can aim at being Art forms, and then they would fit into the Classics. Think of music as any other art form, and you will see how ridiculous one is when saying "he is a classical painter", or "he is a classical sculptor"! So, why is it ok to say "he is a classical pianist"? Funny!?? So, please make this correction. As for the style, they are all very tough, if you want to achieve the maximum and stand out as an outstanding performer. Now, if you want to play the "classics" (here is a possible use of the word!) then, you are in big trouble, because that is very tough. But even tougher is 20th century Art Music. Try pieces by Berio, Boulez, Stockhausen, Ligetti, Schönberg, Messiaen, and these are just a few composers of High Art, all of them already dead. Most people who think of "classical" music, think of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, and sure, their works are great, and very tough too. Some musicians spend many years trying to play something like the Hammerklavier Sonata, or some pianist would love to be able to play Scarbo, but as much as they might want to it is too difficult. Leave out Iberia, or crazy stuff from Paderevsky. In fact, most musician start by wanting to play these pieces, and give up and turn to Jazz, or other easier stuff, like Pop and New Age. So, please know, Western Music includes all these forms of music that use the chord structure (outdated, but still in use) and Major/minor scales (outdated too), the tempered scale (outdated too), 12 notes an octave (outdated too), and electronic effects and instruments, noise, silence, instruments from all over the world, styles that can break any from and structure, all this, can still be called Western, even using sitars, tablas and tanpuras!
