But on d Contraries Western Percussion Instruments doesn't have so many varieties of Odd Beat Cycle...They hv mostly 4/4 beat, 6/7, 2/4, n 3/4 beat cycle n Not having any Fraction of beats. So it's a Misconceptions. Moreover in Indian Music we start our Concert or Rendition either Solo or Duet whtever , can increase the basic Tempo more n More BUT NEVER EVER CAN'T TAKE DOWN D BASIC TEMPO. BUT IT'S ACCEPTED IN WESTERN MUSICOLOGY, ALSO THE NOTE STRUCTURES ARE DECIDED N FIXED IN INDIAN MUSIC , BUT CHANGE BY ADDING SOME MINOR NOTE EVEN THEY CHANGE D BASIC SCALE/PITCH DURING THE RENDITIONS. Its great that he is a good listener at this age...I would recommend, he should continue doing so for another 4 yrs..And then start formal learning..
