Hi Rajmohan, IELTS is International English Language Testing System it is jointly managed by The British Council and IDP. One needs to take this test if one is from a non English speaking countries and is looking out to move abroad for studies or immigration.

Hi Aditya, MIT doesn't accept IELTS score for the undergraduate admissions, but for graduate and doctorate courses IELTS is considered. IELTS band 7.5 would be considered a good score. Thanks.

What is the validity period of IELTS certificates? Does it expire?
The validity period of IELTS is 2 years.If the date of certificate is Feb28.2023 it is valid upto February 27 ,2025.It expires after 29 February 2025.
