IdentityHello, I am Ipsita Duarah, and I have been teaching for over two decades. I specialize in Hindustani Classical Music and Social Science subjects for students from 7th to 10th grade, as well as Political Science for class 11th and 12th. With an academic background that includes a Master's in Hindustani Classical Music, a Master of Performance Arts, and an MA in Political Science, I bring a diverse skill set to my teaching. My passion for both music and social sciences has allowed me to teach students from various disciplines, helping them excel in their respective areas.
I began my teaching journey in 2013, offering home tuition for 11th and 12th graders, specifically in Political Science, and simultaneously worked with degree students teaching political science. I also started teaching Hindustani Classical Music in 2008 and have been practicing this art form for years. Over the years, my students have shown remarkable progress, and I’ve received numerous accolades for my contribution to music, including the Best Singer Award during my college years, and national and state-level recognition in 2003 for my musical performances.
My classes are a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, designed to cater to the needs of each student. In my Hindustani Classical Music classes, I focus on building a strong foundation in ragas and taal, while also helping students understand the deeper philosophy behind classical music. For my social science students, I emphasize critical thinking and real-world applications of political science concepts, preparing them not only for exams but also for a better understanding of the political world around them.
I offer both online and offline classes that last for 1 hour, focusing on an interactive learning experience. My teaching methodology is student-centric, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention. I believe in fostering an engaging learning environment where students can actively participate and express their understanding of the subjects. My goal is to make each lesson interesting and impactful, and I strive to ignite a passion for learning in all my students.
In my music classes, I also guide my students to earn certifications, helping them establish their musical talents professionally. I provide clear guidance and mentorship on how to pursue music as a career and achieve recognition in the field. For my political science students, I prepare them for exams with well-organized materials and ensure they gain a deeper understanding of the subject.
I believe in using various teaching aids such as PowerPoint presentations and notes to make complex subjects easier to understand. Whether in music or social science, my goal is to create a positive and stimulating environment where students feel motivated to learn and grow. With my experience, awards, and dedication to teaching, I aim to empower my students and help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
