Dear Anu, So many good answers you have received. I will add my thoughts too. Anu, when you made the decision to ask this question, you already overcame a certain amount of shyness that you feel, is it not so? We all have the power to work on the aspects of our personality that we find difficult to deal with, like shyness, introverted, social awkwardness, anger issues and much more. Just as it takes time to learn how to be a particular way, it takes time to 'unlearn' how not to be a particular way. Please be patient with yourself, it is okay to be shy :) You could read some good self-help books like "How to Win Friends and Influence People", also develop some skill-set, that will help you build confidence, which in turn will help you to overcome your shyness. What should I do when my 4 year old child does not listen to me when I request even for brushing his teeth, taking bath, watching TV from distance etc daily habits he tests my patience and if i become angry he backfires and becomes stubborn.

Dear Parveen,hello! With 4years olds "suggestion" works very well. So, maybe you can say "Chalo brush karein? And go to the washroom, take your toothbrush and start brushing. Ask a question to engage the child. "You know beta, sometimes this toothpaste tastes spicy to me. Aapko bhi lagtaa hai kya? Kal we will go and pick up another one from the market". Do that and see how involved he/she will be.Children need to be made to feel how exciting an activity is, then they want to participate on their own. Hope this helps. Take Care, Praachi
