"Really a welcoming place to join in. I am very happy to be a student of it. I am also thankful to the faculty members who taught us so comfortably even amidst Corona crises. I recall how Priyanka mam was very friendly and helpful from day one. The endeavour she took in making me understand the core concepts of Data Interpretation was appreciable. I was lucky to find an excellent learning environment in Astral. One of the best thing i like about my prestigious institute is - they care, support and respect you irrespective of your academic IQ. Exam time is the most stressful time for students as they face the too much mental pressure of qualifying the exam with good scores. The candidates preparing for UGC NET must also be looking for preparation tips to get motivated and encouraged in achieving UGC NET Scorecard. It is advised to all the aspirants that they must keep these tips in their mind while preparing for the exam. Please check below:
1. Note down your Syllabus (Detailed one, as UGC Syllabus, is just headings). The NET Exam is administered in three phases (one paper in each phase). The Paper-I consists General Aptitude Questions and the other two papers, Paper-II and III contain questions related to the concerned subject.
i. Don't be screwed up with the topics out of the syllabus!
ii. Start with the topic you can cover faster.
iii. Mark the topics you have covered and proceed to next one.
2. Refer Good Books: Purchase some good books specified by UGC that may help you to clear your basic concepts and logics as well as the cover whole syllabus.
3. Prepare Notes: Preparing Short-Notes is the best way of practicing your syllabus in a short time and revise everything. You can write down important things and related facts and points. Using underlining and highlighting headings will help you to make better notes. Writing notes will also help you in remembering things. These notes will help you to quickly revise what you have learned. #Notes should be very clear and well written so when you have to revise you can just open your notebook and read it.
4. Try to Teach Someone: To test your knowledge for what you've learned and understood, start teaching someone else. This will definitely help you in memorizing things for long duration. You may help others in understanding difficult topics and solving tough questions.
5. Time Management: Developing Time Management Skills is quite beneficial if you are going to fight UGC NET Exam:
(i) How to manage time before exams: It's not necessary to study all the time, just make sure you fully concentrate and focus on what you are reading during your study hours. Schedule your daily routine at the first priority and allocate separate time to every section of the syllabus to reduce confusion of what to read and what not. Give at least 4 to 5 hours daily to your studies. Also manage time for Daily Revision of what you have read the whole day long.
(ii) Time Management during Exams: Time management is the very first thing to do while sitting in the examination hall. As time is limited to solve questions in UGC NET, try to attempt the section you can do very fast. If you are facing problem in solving any question, bookmark it! If possible! Save some time to check all the answers.
(iii) Stay Updated: Keep yourself updated with the current affairs and recent news about UGC NET Exam. And most importantly candidates should have complete knowledge about their concerned UGC NET Subject. UGC NET Notifications and News stories may help you to keep yourself updated.
(iv) Revision and Self Analysis: Revision is a procedure to refine what you have prepared for exams. So make it your habit to revise daily what you have learned. Start your revision early so that you can perform very well in the exam.
