Getting used to pressing the strings with the left hand fingers and learning to play along with the right fingers is the 1st physical part. If you get past the part where you are okay pressing the strings without much effort then you only have to read up with all the existing theory and apply it. A teacher will be able to tell you if you are doing it correctly!
