Well, choosing a guitar is a pretty big thing, especially because the first one always has that special place in your heart whether its a 50k one or a plain 2k one but more importantly because your entire initial learning process and passion for lasting you through the 'initial disappointment' stage will depend on your first 6 stringed sweetheart.

Ok, so how are we going to choose the right one? I know its pretty confusing because the options available are overwhelming! But there are a few tips which might help you choose the perfect one for you.. read on-
#1 The price doesn't matter.
Yes, the more expensive, the better. But that doesn't mean you won't get a decent one at a fairly affordable price. So don't go for a super costly one unless you're really sure.
#2 Forget about the specifications.
It doesn't really matter right now. Just take someone who knows about a guitar with you to the store or the store might even help you pick a decent one. Because trust me, you really don't want to go through the technical stuff and all before you have even had your experiences with a guitar. Choosing the perfect guitar requires you to have a lot of experience so that you really know what you want in a guitar, it doesn't happen in one shot. Just choose one that is comfortable for you to hold and play.
#3 Forget about the brand.
Seriously, just forget about the brand! All you will be doing with your first guitar is just honkey tonkeying every horrible note and scales possible! If a 2k, locally made guitar offers you to do just this and also make you play really good music on it as you gradually learn, that guitar is as good as a global brand one.
#4 Go to the music store!
Yup, that's pretty much it! Just forget about all the things that have been confusing you to pick your perfect first guitar.. just chill and go to the store with someone who will help you and all you gotta do is take the guitar and feel good about it. Yes, that is all there is to it.
