Types of Guitar
There are mainly two types of guitars Acoustic & Electric and both are played using the same methods but a little more to comprehend playing with an electric guitar. Why? Let's find it out why.
Before we get into the understanding type of guitars first let's have a looks at guitar parts in both Acoustic and Electric Guitar

Acoustic Guitars
1) Dreadnought Body Guitars: These guitars were introduced in 1916 by C.F. Martin & Company. Its body is completed attached on both sides on the 14th Fret, it has a loud and clear sound than any acoustic guitar available in the market. These type of guitars are mostly used to play Rhythm Parts and solos which does not go beyond 12th Fret most often but, you may see Eric Clapton performing Layla using a Dreadnought Guitar and also play the solos beyond the 12th Fret Professionals isn't it. It does not have a quick hand rule to play these type of guitars one needs to practice and master their instruments

2) Cut-away Body Guitars: These guitars were introduced in 19th Century by Ronald Deterritus who unknowingly came up with an idea while repairing his broken guitar anyways a lot of history but, cutaway types have been around people back from 19th century. It is cut in the bottom of the body which makes easier for a musician to access higher notes beyond 12th Fret. There are basically two types Single Cutaway and Double Cutaway. Single Cutaway is always found in an Acoustic guitar and double cutaway is mainly used for Electric Guitars. Gibson introduced its cutaway body guitar between '30s or '50s.

3) Classical Guitars: These guitars were used during Renaissance Period by composers like Alonso Muddara, Miguel de Fuenllana, Adrian le Roy, etc unlike an acoustic guitar, classical guitars have different methods to play, it also used Nylon Strings instead of standard steel strings and is also played using Fingerstyle Method. Classical guitars are widely used to play Western Classic like Filippo Gragnani (1767–1820), Antoine de Lhoyer (1768–1852), Ferdinando Carulli (1770–1841)
