i am planning to learn a foreign language.. but i am confused among german, spanish and russian.. which language is in demand in the market now a days? I want to work in a MNC, be a teacher or as a Free Lancer? What would you suggest?

People are less aware about as Portuguese here is less popular. Seeing the recent tie ups with Brazil , Portuguese is one of the best options. Currently in the Market there are very less numbers of Portuguese Language Speakers but has similar job prospects as demands have been very high in India. Its very difficult to find good Portuguese speakers and thus companies are ready to pay any salary. Currently among the European lot as per Demand which also depends on supply I would rate Portuguese on top, then German, then French and then Spanish. Abhishek, if you are looking to learn a language for professional gains, consider German language. It has wider acceptance in Europe. Also, Germany and India have very close relationships (and improving). That means a lot of German companies are coming to India. Many of these companies prefer German language skills for "onsite" assignments at their headquarters. read less

Between the three languages you have mentioned German is advisable as there are several German Firms operating in India and trade is quite significant between India and German.But why have you left out FRENCH which is the second most important Inernational Language after English.There are so many French Compnaies in India and there are many FRANCOPHONE Countries.(Canada/Switzerland, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Belgium etc.,) read less
