A good drum set for beginners is the Yamaha Stage Custom or the Pearl Export. Both offer quality and affordability.

More than 1000 live shows performed, more than 500 students taught, 14 years of experience

The Sonor Force and Smart force are two good beginner drum sets. If you want to go even cheaper then the Mapex Tornado is a decent one. The Ludwig Accent series is good. The Mapex Jazz comet series is also very decent.

Just relax and enjoy the journey. That's most important. If you can be a little disciplined about your practice, it will help you a great deal too as a beginner! :-)
