Good Question. One can not retire with a single skill set. Companies are looking for multi skilled persons these days. So leave about future, you should have a primary skill set like asp.net MVC along with a database like Mysql or sql server, jquery, angular etc. Apart from these CRM knowledge and cloud knowledge gives you edge over others. Data Science is also future of next generation. This is not different from what you are calling Asp.Net, it is a subject can be used in Asp.Net also. You should start with SQL Server 2012 then learn C# 5.0, then learn ASP.NET 4.5 and ASP.NEt MVC 5.0, jQuery and Angular JS if you like ASP.NET. If you don't like ASP.NET, then learn WPF.

MVC is not replacement of ASP.net but it is used along with ASP.net. It is architectural pattern with no code behind, no RAD controls, no ViewState, no ASP.net page life cycle etc to reduce burden on server and improve performance of webforms.
