Srinivas, DevOps mainly don't require a coding background. It is a concept of Infra (containers/VM's) + code build + code deployment (to a particular cloud provider ) + monitoring.
You should have basic computers knowledge, Linux (operating system). Rest depends upon your trainer how well he/she visualise you that how things are working.
Once you visualise things then its just a matter of tools (like docker, ansible, terraform) and how well practice/comfort you have.
Regarding the job opportunity, DevOps is in demand, but you should be well proficient enough in your tools (skill set), from Non-IT to DevOps, you have to start with Zero.
The IT industry is full of exciting opportunities for many different people. Without knowing the type of job or role you are performing, it is difficult to be specific. Here are some general guidelines:
1) Learn about your IT niche:
For example, are you in an IT support function (e.g. an IT organisation at a bank or large organisation)? Or are you in a technology company (i.e. the company produces technology for customers and clients)?
2) Build an abbreviation file for your reference.
You are entering a 'foreign country', and that means learning a new language. Keep a file on your computer where you keep a list of abbreviations. Don't be shy to ask what terms mean, especially if you are new to the organisation or role.
3) Build up your technical skills in one area.
Building credibility in an IT organisation is more accessible if you show that you are putting in time and effort to learn technical skills. As a very general recommendation, consider improving your knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
