IdentityI am a hard-working student having finished my course work of MPhil in Anthropology from University of Delhi, now looking for a job.
Before I tell you about my work experience, there is something I want to tell about myself first.
I was invited for DPhil in History in the Oxford University but could not join due to financial constraints. Now the major question that may pop is that why I didn't complete my MPhil. The reason being, it was to be done at the time when I was trying to arrange money for my DPhil in Oxford. I was given 8 months time and I wanted to not leave any stone unturned.
I would also like to explain my gap between Masters and MPhil. During my final M.Sc. semester, I was chosen for National Gandhi fellowship which I decided to drop and chose to go for Civil service preparation (UPSC). I gave 2 years to it and finally decided to move on and go back into academics.
I would now like to discuss my work in brief.
I am a Social Anthropologist, trained in the University of Delhi. During the course of my academic year, I also managed to accrue nearly 6 months of work experience.
I had the privilege of working for NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR INDIA in an INTERN role in my free time, where I learned valuable professional skills such as community outreach, policy development, and public relations. I intensively worked on education of young girls and their parents regarding child marriage.
In March 2017, I did a fieldwork of 13 days in Udaipur, Rajasthan, studying “Inter-community relationships” and made a report on it as part of my master’s degree.
In December 2014, I did a fieldwork of 15 days in Mount Abu, Rajasthan and made a report on one of its village “DELWARA” as a part of my bachelor’s degree.
Did a field work in Connaught place, Delhi on topic “C.P. - the heart of Delhi” as a part of my internship programme in ITDM (INTEGRATED TALENT DEVELOPMENT MISSION). I lead a team of three in this project. (2014)
I did Archaeology fieldwork for 10 days in Mayurbhanj, Odisha and prepared a report on it as part of my bachelor’s degree. (2013)
Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven leadership, research and critical thinking skills. Skilled in Research, Microsoft Excel, Management, and Microsoft Word with strong research professionalism.
I haven't got the chance to claim any expertise but I am willing to learn and adapt.
