To write text in separate lines in HTML, you can use the <br>
tag. It is a self-closing tag that creates a line break, forcing the following content to appear on a new line.
This is the first line.<br>
This is the second line.
Output
This is the first line.
This is the second line.
Alternatively, you can enclose the text in paragraph tags <p>
or use block-level elements like <div>
or <p>
for larger sections of text. These elements will automatically create new lines for each paragraph or block of content.
In html some elements are inline elements and some elements are block level elements. If you are using block level elements then you need not any tag or element for new line. If you are using inline elements then you have to use <br/> tag for new line output.
As an example <h1> element is block level element
<h1>Mahesh</h1><h1>Gurjar</h1> :- No <br/> tag required for new line
<span> is inline element
<span>Mahesh</span><br/><span>Gurjar</span> :- Here <br/> tag is required.
