Like rent out your flat to other. Cloud computing: Cloud computing is computing in which large groups of remote servers are networked to allow centralized data storage and online access to computer services or resources(for example, database, storage etc like google drive where you can store your files photo online). Clouds can be classified as public, private or hybrid. They will do maintenance as well. you need to pay and take service from them instead of you maintain your own. This is cost effective big organization. read less

Cloud computing is computing in which large groups of remote servers are networked to allow centralized data storage and online access to computer services or resources. Clouds can be classified as public, private or hybrid. With cloud computing, multiple users can access a single server to retrieve and update their data without purchasing licenses for different applications. n it is popular because of. Device and location independence: enable users to access systems using a web browser regardless of their location or what device they use (e.g., PC, mobile phone). As infrastructure is off-site (typically provided by a third-party) and accessed via the Internet, users can connect from anywhere. Maintenance: of cloud computing applications is easier, because they do not need to be installed on each user's computer and can be accessed from different places. Productivity: may be increased when multiple users can work on the same data simultaneously, rather than waiting for it to be saved and emailed. Time may be saved as information does not need to be re-entered when fields are matched, nor do users need to install application software upgrades to their computer read less

Hi Bavya, Cloud computing is sharing the computational resources with others. For example abc company is handling online shopping. for that they have invested huge amount for the server setup with high configuration. But, ususally the traffic to that website will be more only during the the sales/festival session. Other time server will not be used much. Based on the cloud computing concept, xyz company can share that server for their computing pruposes. This is one of the concept of cloud computing. Based on this concept, resources are used at max and the amount of financial gain is more. Because of that this is getting more popular. read less

Hi Internet and Cloud are two terms that can be used interchangeably. Sharing resources like software, infrastructure (hardware) and platform (set of facilities required to develop and host applications or solutions) on pay-as-you-use basis like a service is called Cloud Computing. Hence the terms Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), PaaS and IaaS. Internet is the backbone of the delivery system. Since one doesn't have to own up things, investments in acquisition of services for personal or commercial purposes are just fraction of regular total ownership costs. Additionally, one doesn't have to worry about the maintenance, safety and security of the deliverables. Therefore, cloud computing is cheap, convenient and worry-free. That makes it popular too. read less
