A private cloud is cloud computing model that gives secure cloud based environment to a specified client. In general organization uses this model using PASS where computing power as a servie within that organizations using vitualised environment from pool of physical computing resources. This gives them few benefits like: - security and privacy- mostly banks uses this model - more control - cost and energy effieciency over the time Best example: One of the most popular private cloud is Cloud foundry and its opernsource https://www.cloudfoundry.org/ In this project many organizations is participating and then implementing their own implementatin which will be only accessed in that particular organizations. Some organizations uses hybrid clouds like AWS for public and cloud foundry for private. Intranet is mostly organizations uses to share the content across organzations . like policy document, corporta news , confluence/wiki all are good example of intranet so on intranet we generally share the information but not the deployment of applications. more like content management. I think this brief intro will help you to understand. Thanks!!! read less
