I am sharing one of my students feedback here

Few things are very important to keep in mind while studying for CLAT

  1. Plan well- It's very important to decide what to study for the day and how much time to allot. This will help you cover all the sections and will save you time as you wouldn’t waste your time deciding what to do next. If you've planned beforehand, it also motivates you as you know that you have to complete all this before the end of the day.
  2. Don’t ignore any section or topic- Each any every mark is very important in CLAT. Ignoring any section will directtly put you out of the competition. I know many people who ignore one of these 2 sections; GK or maths and score low because of it.
  3. Go through the current affairs, daily- Gk Today and jagranjosh are some good websites for daily current affairs. Read the Hindu daily ! Many people ignore reading the newspapers beacuse they forget they not only do newspapers help you in gk but also in English, especially the reading comprehension.
  4. Do the past papers of CLAT and AILET. This will help you know, how to study as you’ll understand what types of questions are asked. It will also help a lot in legal reasoning as most of the questions are repeated.
  5. Highlight the important and tough questions- A month or two before CLAT you won't be able to revise all the things. So you should highlight the questions which you thought were difficult and revise them during the last 2–3 months.
  6. Revise regularly- There is no point in doing something you wouldn't remember on the day of the exam. So instead of studying new things all the, revise the ones you’ve already studied so many times that you’ll surely remember it on the day of the exam. In the last 2 months only revise !
  7. Attempt mocks regularly- Mocks are very helpful as it gives you practise and also helps you identify your strengths and weaknessees. There is a good chance that some question which you had done in a mock will be there in the actual CLAT when you appear for it. So analyse them properly and take them seriously. One should atleast take one mock every week in the beginning and one mock every 2–3 days in the last 2 months.

Hi Kalpana!

With the last month of any competitive exam, the way you'd prepare depends largely on your areas of strength and weakness. When I began my preparation, I had less than 3 weeks to the exam, as a result of which I was forced by time constraints to focus on my biggest weaknesses - GK and time management. The trick to learning both is to do as many mocks as humanely possible. Also, it helps to discuss GK with someone well informed.

Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any other questions or are interested in a crash course (batches start from 29th April!). :)
