During Zamindari system the land was owned by d Zamindars and the acutual farming activity was done by the farmers on tenancy basis. Since the farmers did not own the land they were not able to introduce new better techniques of farming. They did not have the decision making power for the betterment of farming techniques nor they had the financial security. Thus they were using there minimum potential in d farming activity due to lack of motivation which led to slow growth of indian agriculture
