Make it simple - A + B = 6 A - B = 2 (Adding both the equations) 2A = 8 A = 4 , that implies B = 2 A*B = 4*2 = 8

Math Magician

A+B+A-B=6+2=>8 2A=8 SO A=4 Similarly subtract both equation A+B-(A-B)=6-2; A+B-A+B=4, 2B=4 So B=2 ; Put A=4 and B=2 in A*B then we get 4*2=8 .
