It appears that agriculture ..lot of people 80 to 90 was in it in 190..by now in2018..dependant ratio is 50%..Are engaged but productivity is low .because of poor monsoons..& no govt support..it is Tertial sector comprising of banks, Telecom., services of all kinds from productive like electric, hydro power .coal and oil & infrastructure like road, railways, air & sea transport. read lessPerhaps the tertial sector commands are largest & can provide immediate employment & income. in present global slowing down of world markets & sharp deceleration in world prices for all products. Under such circumstances, the govt must prop up ailing agriculture & industry with MSP prices, and revive these two sectors. As well go for construction sector like roads, railways, new ports all over the coastline to promote shipping & merchandising exports to boost the sagging GDP.
