Answer 
First of all collect and complete all the class notes. Revise them and start practicing with examples first and then move to exercise questions. Mark the questions which seems difficult and practice them regularly. Once you master your school prescribed textbooks you can score good marks if not satisfied, then you can practice reference books if desires. And a very imp thing never fear of asking doubts, teachers are always there to help you. The confusions you solve today will make you perfect tomorrow.

One most important thing for scoring good in maths is to practice the problems given the text books. It will help you in increasing your problem solving speed in exams. Moreover, you will become familiar to the terminologies used in different problems and you will be solving different types of problems. That will build up your confidence.

Main and important thing to do: just revise what has been done in school or tuition classes , regularly. Just do everything handwritten again at least once.

First of all dont panic . Have confidence on your self... And just think that there is no question which is so big that you cant cant solve. .
Then first start learning the formula.. see the examples of text book. If you are in cbse or state board see the examples of Rd sharma. If you are in icse then solve ML agarwal..
After going through all the examples .. start with easiest questions and then solve the complete excercise...
I will suggest you to start with the easy chapters like sequence and series , probability , trigonometry...
