Civil disobedience Movement was launched by Gandhiji in the 1920s. It was a passive movement and people merely withdrew support to the government. There was no call for boycotting payment of taxes. Civil Disobedience Movement was launched later on in the 1930s to escalate trouble for the British government. People refused to pay taxes and were asked to do many acts which the government considered "illegal."
