Yes She realised that her teacher is not forcing her to marry ,rather she was advised to deny the proposal if it did not suit her. She was given the right to choose while her parents were initially asked her to mary without giving her any choice to accept or reject the proposal or to give voice to her likes or dislikes. it was her teacher who made her realise her willingness to accept or reject logically.
