"Hello I joined my daughter raja rajeshwari to madam lakshmi for vocal classes before 2 years. before that my daughter studied basics in music from a teacher in our locality.later i heard about madam Lakshmi and joined my daughter for online classes. At that time my daughter was only 7 years old. i was wondering whether she could follow online classes.but madam Lakshmi made it very easy and my daughter easily followed her. she has improved in music a lot after joining to Lakshmi madam. she now sings like a matured person and thanks to madam Lakshmi. her way of teaching in excellent. she is extremely patient with children. i have never seen a change in her tone even my daughter do any mistakes. she goes down to the level of the child to make her understand the swaras. thanks madam hats off to you rajesh "

"I am Anupama. I am Lakshmi Miss Veena Student since 1991when i joined Temple of Fine Arts. I do not have or I have to search for the best word to review my teacher who is my mentor in Veena, created confidence and encouraged me in all stage performances. My Veena Arangetram in 1998 was fully organised by Lakshmi Miss at Swaralaya and she is so kind and also a strict teacher when subject is concerned. There is no need to refer to She makes us practice so well that we can play any songs even after years without referring to the books. We used to see her play and then play. She also notices small small mistakes and corrects then and there including fingerings, tala,etc. I love my teacher. "

"I know Lakshmi miss from year 2000.I am a Malaysian, I came to Chennai and took up full time classes from her and completed my arrangetram in year 2003 March.I came back to Malaysia and started my own classes here. I would proudly say she is the best veena teacher that I ever had.im still continuing my advanced classes with her through online. Lakshmi miss is a very soft spoken and has a lot patient in teaching. "My namaskaram to my Guru. Its been two months I am training Veena from such an amazing talented mentor. The way she teaches for each class is different. Previously I started learning Veena with other teacher. Whereas now I could differentiate between Lakshmi mam and my previous teacher. She will explain each and every ragas, thalam in a detailed manner, that clearly depicts she is one of the most dedicated veena teacher. At the end of my every class I had the satisfaction that I am progressing. Also she will give confidence that we can do well with the proper practice. She will make us to play all the three different speeds of ragas,alagkaras and geethams, which I felt is lagging is nowadays teaching methods where i explored outside. "Pranams to my guru. Music is a vast subject and veena especially for me was similar to uncharted and unexplored seas before I met the guiding beacon of my journey - Lakshmi Mam. This is too humble an intro which tries to describe her in just 3 lines but is unable to do so as 3 lines are barely enough to write about a prodigy. Her detailed explanations which make the most intricate of musical nuances seem simple, her kind and patient approach which yields the best results out of a student, her encouraging way of communication and magnanimous urge to improve the musicality and exposure of student definitely make her a cut above the rest. She motivated me and helped me in all respects to perform in programmes and win competitions. "It is my proud privilege to write this letter on behalf of my loveliest Veena and Vocal Guru,  Madam Lakshmi. I have known her since 1989 as her ardent disciple. I would take this rarest opportunity to write about out her expertise, qualities and  capabilities as a talented teacher, a lovable human  and an expert musicologist  in the following lines. Madam Lakshmi is extremely knowledgeable. Everyone is amazed at the expertise and the depth of knowledge she has in the field of music. With this uniqueness she had trained 35 students in just 15 days, who had the honour of playing a one hour Veena feast on a National Television channel, much to the appreciation of world music lovers. My Lakshmi Ma'm is very hard working, focused and dedicated. Ma'm is well qualified, very dynamic and enthusiastic. She ensures  that her students acquire quality music knowledge they deserve. Thus I can say with absolute certainty that Lakshmi Ma'm is an exceptional Veena, Vocal teacher who has a very sound knowledge about music. A highly disciplined, dignified  and pleasant  Lakshmi Ma'm has exceptional teaching talent to explain the subject in a simple, systematic and easily understandable way, that makes any student comfortable and confident in learning the nuances of instrumental music, Veena and vocal music.  I joined  her as a student without any prior experience in the subject, but her simple, friendly teaching ways and her constant encouragement coupled with her staunch endurance helped me to achieve first class with distinction amongst many students in the instrumental Veena exam conducted by the Government Music College Adayar , Chennai. All her students excel in music mainly because of her teaching methods and her friendly approach. My Ma'm is an embodiment of  patience. With her enormous patience she makes  every national and international students from 4 years to 55 years comfortable in the subject. She spends  so many hours to explain the intricacies and  techniques to play on the  Veena with much ease and fluency. She will make humanly impossible task very much possible with her patience and perseverance. She performed a gala Veena Arangetram for 5 pairs of students in consecutive five days. The fabulous point in that is, none of the songs was repeated. This bears ample testimony to the fact that she is a classic artist with  unique talents.   My Ma'm is very friendly, considerate and affectionate. She extends her teaching to many university graduates and post graduate students. She takes online classes in an exuberant manner. She understands  the needs of all level students and acts accordingly. She displays a genuine concern for the advancement of her students. "Lakshmi mam has been my veena guru for the past 10 years. I have always admired her teaching skills and patience with the students. She has always taught us the best and the most difficult varnams, kirthanas, bajans and various other folklore music and absolutely with ease. We have also performed live shows and tv shows in her guidance. She is now also my guru for carnatic vocal music and also training our 6 year old nephew.
