The important aspect in writing is always focus on the tense you are using. A mix of tenses may interrupt the free flow of reading and writing. Consistent use of tenses in your write-up will make your ideas flow freely without disruption. In the draft stage you need not focus on tenses. While editing you can check them. Record your ideas first and then check your grammar and spelling.
