b.tech and m.tech degree courses duration is 6 yrs.but uou can get dual degrees in 5 yrs only.

But by doing M.Tech separately after B.Tech Completion , you can try to get into the top colleges like the IITs or go abroad. In 5-year dual-degree (BTech & MTech) you can qualify and complete the the B.Tech and M.Tech both in 5 Years instead of 6 Years

Suppose your doing BE and ME separately, It will take 4 years for BE and 2 years for ME. Your doing dual degree within 5 years only. Nothing will be difference in the studying but one year is saved.

In 5 year dual-degree course 3.5 years will be your B.Tech and remaining 1.5 years you'll study your M.Tech. Unlike B.Tech ( regular 4 year) , Dual degree maynot be a good option . Few companies won't consider it for jobs as basic criteria.
