Being an IITian, and few of my friends who are non IITians, I can speak to this based on my first hand experience.
Here are a few differences that I have noticed:
Passion about the subject: In my opinion, IIT teachers are far more passionate about the subject they are teaching than teachers at other universities. That passion is infused in their style of teaching and affects all students positively in the sense, everyone wants to learn the subject and enjoys the classes.
Indifference to students who don't want to learn: In IITs, no professor will force you to learn, or do well at exams. They are passionate about the subject, and they are passionate about teaching, but for students who don't want to learn, or are not interested in the class, professors seldom care too much. They won't force you to learn or pay attention in the class if you don't want to.
Assignment focussed courses: Alot of the courses have a strong element of assessments. Most of the courses will have challenging assignments as part of their curriculum to truely ingrain the learning within the student's brain.
Those are some of the few I can think about right now.

Analogy is quite similar to travelling via First Class/ Business Class Airplane ticket to Economy Class Airplane ticket
In IIT's most of the teachers have Graudation and Post Graduation degrees from reputed Institutes all over the world. Due to which they have better insight of the subject and due to which they give students better knowledge of subject. Also they are aware of latest technologies related to subject which are quite prevalent in Industry and they try to train students according to same.
Whereas in normal colleges students did not enjoy such priviledge and have to do hard work to reach that level
Hope that answer your question.
Thanks
read lessFirst of all, the freedom they offer in classes. They don't blame any student about marks or their performance in studies. And they'll teach concepts in such a way, theyll work on preparing analogies/examples such that students will exactly get the concept. And the exams will be very very easy that nobody will fail. They teach by giving assignments, interesting projects not just lectures.

That's the difference between lectures from IIT & normal college
Because IIT prof, they don't think about marks of students. They'll give true knowledge/science
