Carnatic Music Classes

"I'm very fortunate to be a student at Sharadha Sangeetha Shala. I'm learning Carnatic vocal from Vidhwan Rao R Sharath from past 10 months. I joined Sharadha Sangeetha shala when I had to prepare to present a carnatic vocalconcert as a part of my final year MA Music. I received an excellent guidance and support from Sharath sir and successfully presented the concert and acquired first class. Had I not received Sharath sir's guidance, my concert paper wouldn't have been upto the mark. He's the best teacher and I felt I'm at the right place and in the right hands. My learning experience has been very good. His way of teaching Ragalapana and swaras, patterns and calculations , the method he gave for akaara sadhana have all helped me a lot in rendering a Ragalapana. I feel a lot of improvement in my singing since I was totally unaware as to how a Raga Alapana is rendered, before coming to Sharath sir. His continuous support and encouragement have helped me be more confident and I hope I'll always be blessed by him. "

"I am lucky to be one of Sharath Sir's student at Sharadha Sangeetha Shala. As some of us might think Carnatic Keyboard is a difficult subject where memorizing plays the important key of learning but Sir has his own method to make the facts of theory interesting and easier to understand and then remember which will last long in our memory if compared to the mugging up method without understanding. He has the patience and dedication to go the extra mile for his student. In addition, he is always there to teach or guide or clarify any questions no matter how many times he had to repeat or change the method of explanation in different ways til his students understand the topic thoroughly. Although he had only thought me for a shoet period of time, he is indeed one of the best and dedicated lecturers I have met in this institute."

"I feel honored to write about Singing Insync, Parthibhakanshi, Yuva Kala Prathi Bhaati, Asthana Vidwan, Vidwan Rao R Sharath. Sharath was just 3 and a half when he started with music and i appearing for my music junior exam then. Though very young he had learnt so many songs and shlokas from his mom and displayed all qualities of a child prodigy. As time passed by i completed my Senior in Vocal Music and Sharath had completed his Junior exam with high distinction. Years passed by and i had to appear for my Vidwat exam but due to my studies i was unable to do it that year. Sharath who was/is 8 years younger to me appeared for Vidwat the very next year i did. It clearly shows he was just not promoted for an year but he was promoted 7 years and that was his potential. He started performing day in day out, teaching day in day out, travelling to Chennai every week, engineering on the other hand handling everything with at-most care but still giving a feeling that he's doing nothing at all. Today he stands like a silent volcano, who can burn you silently if you mess up with him. There is still a twist in the story :) i am his student now and i am more than happy to be learning online from him. Regards Kshama Your student always "

""Dear readers, I am Mr. Rajesh Wayne, Senior Lecturer, Department of Music. I know Vidwan Rao R Sharath sir, for the past 5 years. He is very young and energetic and enthusiastic. The kind of dedication he has, where ever he is whether it be a party, a wedding or a concert if he has a class he is back home in time. He is very friendly and jovial. He keeps on discussing about the mathematical modelling of different kind of problems when it comes to Laya or its application in Ragam Tanam Pallavi. He was involved in the research of two important books by big musicologists. He has published so many research papers in reputed journals. He has also participated in many workshops and conferences. His knowledge not only grounds to music but also in Language and Philosophy especially in Samskrit, is very much appreciable. He has a kind heart , smiling face and is patient enough to clear all the doubts of the students. He shall be your best choice for teaching music, not only in the exam point of view, but also for improving your knowledge. ""

""Sharath sir has an excellent ability that he can explain the integrity of Graha Bedhma in a lay man's term. After few sessions with him I was able to understand the complexity of this subject in a easier way. The new techniques he thought me as to how to do a raga alapana using the Graha concept was fascinating and is something that is unjustified by many many musicians. He is not of the usual type as many people have said it in the reviews and its an established fact that you can't expect genius to be like a normal man". "
