Carnatic Music Classes

"I am one of a proud student of Ashwini Ma'am. She is such a talented musician with a god's gifted vocal chord. I am too early to write a review here, after attending ~1 month of classes from her. But I personally feel she is one of the top teachers around here in Southside. She has a strong knowledge of Carnatic music with melodious voice. Mam's polite and friendly way of handling students will definitely make you feel very comfortable as you are learning from an own sister. I personally feel so. Thanks a lot ma'am for being my first GURU of my life - I am so happy here and enjoying the classes."

Vocal Music

"I am learning vocal music from her for an year now. It's always nice to be in her class. Very energetic and enthusiastic teacher. It's all about perfection. Until we perfectly learn a thing,she doesn't move further. She gives individual attention and can easily find out who's wrong even when a big group sings. She gives a detailed description about everything that we learn. I have never learnt a kriti with meaning in my previous classes. It helps us to learn in a proper way with bhavam and proper pronunciation. Thanks for being a patient guru! Keep up the good work mam. "

"My daughter started learning Carnatic music from Ashwini from last month. She is more than a teacher in the first sentence. Her understanding of her students can never be better than anyone else. She is very patient and highly talented musician who explains each and every notes in detail and makes us feel comfortable with her ever motivating words. Blessed to have found Ashwini as my daughter's Guru. When we started our class with her we quite afraid as she was a new teacher because she is my daughter's 3rd Guru. We were not comfortable with the timings of the old teachers. So we were in need of a new teacher for my daughter, luckily we found such a nice Guru through Urbanpro. We felt lots of improvements and changes with my daughter's musical knowledge. Ashwini don't move to the next lessons until my daughter is comfortable and perfect. She is a kind teacher and very friendly. I recommend this class to everybody. Now my daughter says I want to continue my learning from Ashwini forever. Carnatic Music Classes

"Anshwini is an excellent carnatic teacher. My kids went to in-person teachers for last 4 years before we switched to Anshwini for online skype classes and we see that they are doing very well. Ashwini keeps the kids motivated but still challenges them to achieve their best. She is very particular in making sure you get your sruthi correct, know the meaning of the songs, and have correct pronunciation among other things. She can also cover advanced topics and she is an extremely capable musician with a very melodious voice. My kids always come away from the class constantly humming until they get their basics correct. Also, Ashwini is prompt in her schedule and provides recordings of the songs being taught regularly (i have difficulty managing it). All in all we are extremely satisfied and I am happy to provide a reference for her. "

"After a long gap of ten years, I wanted to learn music again. Found Mrs.Aswini's 'Hamsanaada' on Urbanpro. She is a brilliant singer and a patient teacher. One class was enough for me to come out of my apprehensions. She ensures that we learn our basics perfectly. Apart from the typical path of Varisais, Swara Jatis, Kritis etc., she also helps us appreciate and understand the lyrical meaning of songs, explain the nuances between different raagas etc. Overall, I'm really happy for choosing Hamsanaada. "Ashwini is my third music teacher n I take online classes from her. She is a remarkable teacher with in depth knowledge in music. Her passion for music and detailed research about each kriti she teaches motivates us students not only to understand the devotion with which the song was written but also to connect with divine through our singing. Until I found her music was just recital, but every time I sing now I feel a connect with divine. So many aspects which had went unnoticed during my early years of learning hav been made attended in her class. For those who want strong basics in music she is the right teacher, never hav I found someone who tells u why and how to do a varase in as much detail as she does. And once u learn from her it hard to forget what you hav learnt. So wonderful a teacher she is. And lastly thanks mam for being my guru. "
