P = ρ g h Where, P = liquid's hydrostatic pressure (in N/m2, Pa) ρ = liquid's density (kg/m3) Note : in case of water ρ =1000 kg/m3 g = gravitational acceleration (9.81 m/s2) h = height of the fluid's column or depth where the pressure is measured. Thus, P = 1000×9.81× (8/2)...

P = ρ g h

Where,

 P = liquid's hydrostatic pressure (in N/m2, Pa)

ρ =  liquid's density (kg/m3)

Note : in case of water ρ =1000 kg/m3

g = gravitational acceleration (9.81 m/s2)

h = height of the fluid's column or depth where the pressure is measured.

Thus,

P = 1000×9.81× (8/2) = 39240 (in N/m2, Pa) or P = 39.24 KPa, KN/m2

Note :  1N/m= Pa

Understanding Concepts

Dimensions (assuming in order L,B,H) - 8m,6m,4m => Height of the tank = 4/2 = 2m (As tank haf filled) Acceleration due to Gravity (g)=9.8m/s^2 Density (d)=1000kg/m^3 (aprox) Pressure=hdg P=2×9.8×1000 P=19600pa

The following formula is used to calculate the pressure on any surface : P = ρ g h Where, P = liquid's hydrostatic pressure (in N/m2, Pa) ρ = liquid's density (kg/m3) Note : in case of water ρ =1000 kg/m3 g = gravitational acceleration (9.81 m/s2) h = height of the fluid's column or...

Here i am assuming that dimensions are given in L*B*H format and hence taken height of water column to be 2 meters as tank is alf filled. Adjust accordingly if height of tank is not 4 meters.

Thus,

P = 1000×9.81× (4/2) = 19620 (in N/m2, Pa) or P = 19.62 KPa, KN/m2

Note :  1N/m= Pa
