There is a whole list of tests & matchings that need to be done on the charts of both the bride and the groom alongwith a necessary personalised test of the muhurta that was googled from a panchang.
The ashtakoot milan itself is a combination of many attributes which tell us about the compatibility of a couple on various grounds. This must be analysed based on the habits of both and the environment in the groom's family. Many doshas may not be actually present if tested in enlarged deep form, while some attributes giving full marks may be rendered useless due to the living conditiions of the families.
What is least considered is the proper matching other than ashtakoot while there is a long checklist to follow. Another biggest mistake is generic muhurtas. How is it possible that a generic date is good for all couples with similar rashi sets. The muhurta googled out from panchanga needs to be verified for each couple through various checks like sarvatobhadra chakra, etc.

Do you dare to enter temples or worship places in such intoxicated state. Who do you think will show up (devas or asuras) in a party of drunkards & gossipers sitting around, giggling & destroying the sanctity of the havan and pooja.
