IdentityI am Arpan Dutta a former intern at the CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT) in Bhubaneswar, and a research intern at Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, working on peptides synthesis and study on antimicrobial activity and anti biofilm activity of peptides and Currently a Project assistant in Drug Chemistry Research center Lab, Indore, India.
My educational background, including coursework in Introductory Biological Chemistry, Animal and Plant Physiology, Recombinant DNA Technology, DNA Typing, Proteomics and Beyond, Microbial Ecology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology during my master’s in biotechnology and Bachelor's in Microbiology programs in the Indian academic curriculum, has thoroughly prepared me for further academic pursuits abroad. To assess my aptitude for learning, I have successfully completed various projects of varying complexity, such as "A literature-based analysis of the genetic makeup of SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19)," "Short-term academic project on drug docking for SARS-CoV-2," and an ongoing project on "Multiple product lines utilizing food waste." Additionally, I have graduated from an advanced training program in computer-based medication analysis and development at Johns Hopkins University and obtained a certification in food and dairy microbiology from IIT Kharagpur. I have also actively participated in a workshop project on drug design and docking for the SARS-CoV virus and completed the "Introduction to Cancer Biology" course on the Coursera online learning platform.
I have completed my Masters in Biotechnology from Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh, India (ranked as the 1st top private university and 20th overall in India). During my master's, I did my dissertation on the formation of biopolymer composites, whose title is "Extraction of Lignin from Rice Husks and Development of Lignin-Based Composite Films," and during my master's, I also did one minor project where we focused on sustainable product development from biowaste. In this work, we develop multiple batch lineups using microbes as well as accelerated composting done by microbes.
