Newton's first law states the 'Law of Inertia' which means an object will remain at a state of rest or uniform motion until an unbalanced force is applied on it. Newton's first law states the 'Law of Inertia' which means an object will remain at a state of rest or uniform motion until an unbalanced force is applied on it. Ex: In Bowling game, the nine pins remain at a state of rest until a ball (which is an unbalanced force) is applied on it, as a result of which the pins fall. Newton's second Law states that force is proportional to the product of mass and acceleration (Force = mass X Acceleration). Ex: Suppose your friend is on a skateboard, if you give him a little push him, he begins to move slowly. If you give him a big push, he moves faster, and gains speed quickly. Newton's third law states that 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'. Ex: Recoil of the gun is the best example. If you ever shot a gun, you will experience the recoil force when the gun is fired. As the gunpowder explodes within the gun, the gases expand and push forward on the bullet, thus propelling the bullet out of the gun. The bullet, in turn, pushes back on the gun, causing the gun to recoil.
