What is hybrid model in computer for software development?

The software development has five basic models; they are:

1. Waterfall
2. Iterative
3. Spiral
4. V-shaped
5. Extreme  

For simple projects, SDLC tells us to apply waterfall model like developing a small DBMS like a phone book, for games extreme model is suitable. If we combine two or more models of the above to solve the requirements, then it becomes a hybrid model.

A hybrid model in software development is a mix or combination of two methodologies to give a better outcome or reusing the two existing functionalities to produce better single function. For example, in olden days you have different buttons for different operations on tv remote, now you have fewer buttons to achieve all operations.

In software development a developer design and implement a complex structure. Software is a group of small programs or codes which individually has its functionality and life cycle. It makes software development a little bit difficult. So, a software developer uses a model to make the development process smooth and cost-effective.
But some time complex software is complex in development, so a developer uses two or more models to reduce this complexity and make development error-free, efficient, cost-effective and time-effective.
The model may be the Waterfall Model, Spiral Model, Prototype Model, Iterative Model etc.

Hybrid Mode - which combines the features of the five standard development models: waterfall, iteration, spiral, v-shaped and extreme programming.
