# LESS theory MORE practical# Etl testing,SQL Server,Oracle

As you are strong and interested in SQL, why not to choose ETL Testing? It has a good career ahead in data projects. To survive in the market, you need both Oracle & SQL Server. Actually, both are almost same but are different products.

Oracle has the largest market share by revenue in comparison to MS SQL server. But in practical, Oracle has fewer installations because it's expensive and ms SQL server has more installations because it's cheaper. More installations mean more career opportunities so I will suggest MS SQL Server.

Well, to get into the knowledge, both would be needed. What I would recommend is to focus more on Postgres as this is being highly used and has some nice features as well as in-memory processing.

Hi Santhosh,

If the choice is between Oracle and MS SQL server, I would recommend Oracle. Oracle is more widely used than peers especially for enterprise solutions in MNCs like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BNP, Citi, BOA etc.

I would also recommend you focus on Object stores and NoSQL database, especially with Big Data flavours like MongoDB, Post GreSQL, Hadoop etc.
