Uses of Future Tense
● Simple Future Tense
● The simple future tense is used to express an action that is still to take place.
1. I will go to the market tomorrow.
2. We will go for a picnic next Sunday.
3. I will cook your favorite dish tomorrow.
4. Tomorrow will be Monday.
5. I will meet your teacher tomorrow.
● Future Continuous Tense
● The future continuous tense is used to represent an action which will be going on at some time in the future. The future continuous tense is used to express future plans and arrangements.
1. I shall be cleaning my house then.
2. When I get home my parents will be sleeping.
3. When you go into work, he will be praying.
4. I am going to build a new house. 5.They will be staying here till December
● Future Perfect
● The future prefect tense refers to a completed action in the future. We use this tense when projecting ourselves forward into the future and looking back at an action that will be completed some time later than now
1. I shall have cooked the meal by that time.
2. He will have written the letter when you come back.
3. The bus will have left before you reach the terminus.
4. I will have built my house.
● Future Perfect Continues
● The future perfect continues refers to unfinished events or actions in a time between now and future. 1. I will have been waiting for him for one hour.
2. She will have been playing badminton since 2013. 3. At 4 o'clock he will have been playing cricket for two hours.
4. By next month Prime Minister will have been ruling for five years.
5. On the 13th of next month, he will have been teaching for 5 years.
