An adverb is a word used to qualify or add something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective and even another adverb conveying location, manner, time, or degree. An adverb shows how an action is done and can modify a clause, phrase or sentence.
E.g. quickly, swiftly, fast, slowly, badly, brightly, well, bravely, quietly, politely, sincerely, rapidly, frequently, attentively.
1. He ran quickly down the road.
2. The plane flew swiftly.
3. He speaks fast.
4. Vicky pronounces badly.
5. Sierra writes well.
6. They work sincerely.
7. The soldiers fought bravely.
8. They listened to their teacher attentively.
